Do you remember that big pink canvas on my studio floor a while back? Here it is, after a lot of starts and stops. The title comes from the Walter Benjamin quote that Laurie Anderson made into a song. It's 30" by 40" and quite a bit bigger than what I've been doing. It was accepted into the Big Country Art Show along with this one and this one. The opening is tomorrow night at The ACU Cockrell Gallery during art walk from 5:00 to 8:00. Wonderful work is in the show including our good friends, best of show winner Dan McGregor and 1st place painting winner Robert Green. Also, The Center for Comtemporary Art has a group show that will have my Vanitas with Vaporizer painting in it. Wow, I put a lot of links in this post. | |

I checked out your other two for the show. They are all fabulous. They all make me smile. Beautiful work.
Congrats on the exhibit! I love the layers to this piece.
Thank you so much Sheri and Claudine!
