September Flowers original contemporary still life painting by Polly Jones

16" by 20" acrylic painting on gallery wrapped canvas with 1 and 3/8" profile. This is wired and ready to hang without a frame. On Etsy here.

These three flowers in my yard made me think of the song "If We Make It To September" that my parents sing to each other jokingly when times get tough. The zinnias were not quite as fresh and big as the first bloomers but they survived a lot of heat and sporadic watering; I quite admire them.

Polly, I love this. I adore your glass bottles...I ENVY your glass bottles. I cannot paint, but if I could, these are what I would want to do. :) Oh, the refraction and reflection that must go on in your studio.

I also love that little bowl in the back. I recognize it from your Empty Bowls project that I loved so much.

Kathleen, thanks! I'm laughing at your image of my studio. It's a jumble in there right now amidst all the refraction and reflection.
