With Spiderwort, 8" by 8" acrylic mixed media on canvas by Polly Jones, Sold |
I"ve been painting more flowers from my garden. Irises, spiderwort, roses and one last daffodil. We had a great time getting together with my brother and sister and their spouses this weekend. My brother showed me the lilac bush he was growing from a starter taken from my parents old lilac bush. Such simple and meaningful connections to our past can come in the shape of flowers. The irises I have were planted in our yard by a couple who built our house and lived in it for decades. I often think of how I reap benefits where I have not sown. We have so much to be grateful for.
