I do art with a boys and girls club once a week. Not long ago I took my
shells for them to look at and draw. One little girl was so enamored
with this little whelk shell. She was so excited about all of the colors
shimmering together and she layered her markers to give that same quality to
her drawing. It helped me to see it with fresh eyes.
